Blade: The sleek, hollow saber ground, Drop Point blade combines powerful performance and durability with a striking look further enhanced by aggressive scalloping on the spine. High quality, American CPM-S35VN stainless steel delivers a balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and toughness while the durable, black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish is discreetly non-reflective and resistant to wear. It deploys via a strong, single action automatic mechanism for fast, smooth operation. Simply slide the stainless steel safety over and press the button. Action is strong so keep a solid grip.
Handle: Milled, hard anodized aluminum offers just under 5.5 inches of handle, long enough for a solid grip even in gloves. The handle is shaped perfectly for a secure yet comfortable grip with strategically placed jimping for traction. The handles are completely sterile with company, model and serial number markings on charging slide. Access the button lock the same way you did for deployment to disengage the lock. Pull the slide down using the titanium and a carbon fiber charging plate lanyard to charge the spring, making it ready for deployment.
Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.
CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
